The sale of counterfeit, knock-off, or intentionally misrepresented items is strictly prohibited. Any reproduction or custom piece must be clearly disclosed as such to all buyers.
 
3. Accurate Listings
Sellers are required to provide precise descriptions regarding the item’s physical state, year of manufacture, known damage, historical repairs, or missing components. You must state if the lighter has been fueled or used.
 
4. Genuine Photography
You must upload high-quality, clear photos of the specific item you are selling. Utilizing stock images or misleading photography to hide wear and tear is not permitted.
 
5. Independent Pricing
The Zippo Collectors Club does not participate in valuation. All pricing and negotiation terms are handled solely between the buyer and the seller during the transaction process.
 
6. Direct Peer-to-Peer Transactions
Unless an item is listed directly by the Club, all sales are private contracts between members. Participants are responsible for managing their own payments, shipping logistics, and insurance coverage.
 
7. Zero Commissions
Our platform does not take a cut of your sales revenue. Members are only responsible for their base membership fees or any voluntary promotional tools they choose to purchase.
 
8. Secure Payments
We advise all members to utilize reputable payment services that offer fraud protection. Sharing sensitive financial data, passwords, or personal banking info in public threads is strictly forbidden.
 
9. Delivery Standards
Sellers are obligated to package items securely and verify that all shipments comply with local laws and carrier regulations regarding lighters. Tracking information should be provided as agreed.
 
10. Fraud Zero Tolerance
Deceptive practices, including non-delivery, chargeback manipulation, or selling stolen goods, will result in immediate termination of membership and potential legal notification.
 
11. Professional Conduct
Treat all collectors with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, threats, or any form of bullying will lead to permanent expulsion from our community.
 
12. Respect Listings
Do not engage in "listing hijacking" by promoting your own items in another member's comment section or attempting to steal active buyers through private messages.
 
13. Civil Communication
Engaging in discussions regarding pricing, shipping, or item history is encouraged as long as the dialogue remains courteous and professional even during disagreements.
 
14. Inventory Management
To keep the marketplace current, sellers must mark their items as SOLD immediately or delete the post once the transaction is finalized or the item is pulled from sale.
 
15. No Duplicate Posts
Do not spam the feed with multiple active listings for the same exact item. Keeping the board clutter-free ensures every member gets fair visibility for their collection.
 
16. Featured Positioning
Special placement options may be available based on your subscription tier. Please note that featured status is an advertisement and does not signify an official authentication by the Club.
 
17. Community Engagement
Group chats and forums are dedicated to the history and hobby of Zippo collecting. Please refrain from spamming unrelated commercial links or off-topic advertising.
 
18. Limitation of Liability
The Zippo Collectors Club provides the space for connection but is not a party to member-to-member deals. The Club is not liable for issues related to shipping, payment, or item quality.
 
19. Reporting Violations
If you encounter a suspicious post, a suspected fake, or a member behaving inappropriately, you must alert the site administrator immediately to maintain community integrity.
 
20. Enforcement of Rules
We reserve the right to moderate content, restrict specific account functions, or ban members who fail to comply with these stated marketplace and community terms.
 
21. Sales Outcomes
A paid membership grants you access to selling tools and exposure, but the Zippo Collectors Club does not guarantee that your items will sell or reach a specific buyer audience.
 
22. Compliance with Law
Members must ensure all transactions and shipments adhere to international, federal, and local laws, including age verification for the sale of combustible accessories.
 
23. Independent Status
The Zippo Collectors Club is an autonomous hobbyist community. We are not owned by, partnered with, or endorsed by the Zippo Manufacturing Company in any official capacity.
